The
Dubroom reviews a lot of different material, from
musical to educational to beneficial and more.
We've got music, but also material for artists and
producers as well as researchers of more conscious
material. As always, when the Dubroom reviews
something, this means that this website considers
the material at least fair. So don't expect any
negative reviews. When it's here, we recommend it.
Period.

(DUB)
REGGAE MUSIC |
| From
full-length documentaries to video clips,
this is where you can not only enjoy the
sounds of (DUB) Reggae music, but the sights
as well. We are talking about very diverse
material that is not selected persay because
of it's novelty. Historical recordings that stood
against the test of times are offered as
well, TV broadcasts,
interviews: the Dubroom is always interested
in relevant and/or of high quality material
to review and in this part of the Dubroom
video reviews you can find just that.

BOB MARLEY
- CATCH A FIRE
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| WWW,
September 2007 - This must-see
documentary reveals to great detail, just
how Bob Marley's Reggae Music was
transformed to make it acceptable for the
European and American markets.
When Bunny
Wailer, Peter Tosh and Bob Marley formed
their vocal harmony group The Wailing
Wailers and started recording for Sir
Coxsone Dodd's Studio One, it would mark the
start of an incredible story.

AXIS SOUND
SYSTEM - LATE NITE SESSION, A SHORT FILM
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| WWW,
September 2007 - In this piece of
eye-candy for the apprecilover of Reggae
Music, we're being introduced to the UK
based Axis Sound System in their earlier
days.
The video
itself, almost ten minutes long, is really a
short film rather than a documentary or a
video report. A true work of art, and a true
labor of love. There's some acting, there's
genuine images, there's stuff in between as
well.
Enjoy!

PETER TOSH LIVE AT MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL
SWITZERLAND (JULY 16, 1979)
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| WWW,
September 2007 - Almost three decades
after the event, young and old will still be
amazed by this massive performance of the
Militant Wailer.
The story
is well-known. Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer and
Peter Tosh formed the original (Wailing)
Wailers back in the 1960's and subsequently
they went their own way.

SUGAR
MINOTT AND YOUTHMAN POSSE 1986
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| WWW,
September 2007 - It really doesn't matter
for Sugar Minott whether he performs on an
international festival for a massive
audience or at home with his Sound system.
He is said
to have turned down contracts just to be
able to promote the youths in his own
Jamaican home base and so he does on his
Youthman Promotion Sound System.

DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| WWW,
September 2007 - The year is 1983 and the
music of the time is Rub a Dub style. Many

of Rub a Dub, and he's right here to play at
the "Mother of all Reggae
Festivals"!
