The
Dubroom reviews a lot of different material, from
musical to educational to beneficial and more.
We've got music, but also material for artists and
producers as well as researchers of more conscious
material. As always, when the Dubroom reviews
something, this means that this website considers
the material at least fair. So don't expect any
negative reviews. When it's here, we recommend it.
Period.

(DUB)
REGGAE MUSIC |
| From
full-length documentaries to video clips,
this is where you can not only enjoy the
sounds of (DUB) Reggae music, but the sights
as well. We are talking about very diverse
material that is not selected persay because
of it's novelty. Historical recordings that stood
against the test of times are offered as
well, TV broadcasts,
interviews: the Dubroom is always interested
in relevant and/or of high quality material
to review and in this part of the Dubroom
video reviews you can find just that.

RICHIE
ROOTS - BY THE RIVERS OF BABYLON
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| WWW,
September 2007 - Discogroup Boney M made
this psalm very popular when they scored a
hit with their cover version of the
Melodians track.
In this
video-clip, we'll see Richie Roots as he
performs the track again in a style that
could be described as a modern version of
Nyabinghy and Roots Reggae.

LIVING
TRUTH - OVER THERE
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| WWW,
September 2007 - Produced by the son of a
well-known unknown producer called Dennis
Thompson, Living Truth is here with some
crucial Word Sound and Power.
A cool
Roots Reggae riddim serves as the foundation
for an upfull lyrical work. "Over
there" refers to Africa, and deals with
our own possibilities "over here"
to help our brothers and sisters "over
there". This way, we get a better thing
going on "every where".

LUCIANO
& CAPITAL D - LIVE @ REBEL SALUTE 2005
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| Luciano
never fails to impress his audience. This
website has heard how even people that hate
Rasta and would like to "reform"
Reggae Music had to admit how Luciano was
touching them with his message.
In this
video we will see him in uniform of JAH
Army, chanting down Babylon and lifting up
his audience. The band plays a heavyweight
Roots Music with lots of instruments
dropping in and out, while the backing
singers are perfectly in tune.

ALPHA AND
OMEGA WITH GREGORY ISAACS - BUSH GANJA
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| Within
Reggae Music, it is not uncommon for artists
to get together and produce a couple of
works. Artists like Gregory Isaacs and Alpha
and Omega, for example. A very, very
interesting combination of which we will
hear and see the result in this official AO
video.

COUNT OSSIE
- NYABINGHY DRUMMING IN JAMAICA, 1966
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| Many
people think, that Reggae is Rasta Music and
yes, to a very large degree this is so.
However, when you really want to know the
Rastaman's Rhythm, you must check out the
Nyabinghy rhythm.
Nyabinghy
means "Death to black and white
downpressors", and was introduced as a
rhythm by Count Ossie, somewhere in the
early 1960's.
