PODCAST
reviews |
| Podcasts
are a great way to get yourself familiar
with all kinds of artists and styles you
might like to consider for your next
purchase. It is also a very good way of
experiencing Reggae in an alternative way as
many podcasts are de facto non-stop mixes,
often put together by skillful DJ's and
other Sound System personnel. The Dubroom
has reviewed many of the best podcast(ers)
throughout the years, all of which you can
discover in our reviewed podcast pages. Be
sure to also check out the Dubroom's own
podcast. A link to the latest chapter can be
found on the left side of this page.

REGGAE
LOVERS
DUBROOM PODCAST REVIEW |
| WWW,
April 2008 - It's spring time, time for
Lovers to come out of their winter sleep and
start being active in whatever it is they
are doing. Reggae Lovers offers us 30
minutes of pure Lover's Rock and other older
forms of sweet Reggae.
Every now
and then, a siren or other sound effect
enters the non-stop mix. Time for some sweet
Lovers Reggae, without really going into the
realms of slackness.

THE
SOMA SESSIONS VOLUME TWO
DUBROOM PODCAST REVIEW |
| WWW,
March 2008 - The Soma Sessions contain
what feels like a very personal selection of
the US based (Reggae and other) DUB DJ,
which sometimes results in music that can
not be called Reggae and not even DUB.
A reason
why not everyone might have liked Part One.
But even though those who might not like
Part One want to check out this one still.

THE
SOMA SESSIONS VOLUME ONE
DUBROOM PODCAST REVIEW |
| WWW,
March 2008 - According to our host, the
Soma Sessions are inspired by the fact that
within Reggae and DUB many hard-hitting
messages can be put over joyful beats,
providing strength where necessary.
It's true,
just like herb can help people getting
through another day in Babylon, so can
music. Reggae and DUB are especially good in
this and so can we do nothing but agree with
our host, DJ Chill Will of the Dubsessions
Podcast.

WEAPONS
OF MASS DUB VERSION
DUBROOM PODCAST REVIEW |
| WWW,
March 2008 - WEAPONS OF MASS DUB
VERSION is filled with anti-war Reggae and
DUB Music, and created to serve as protest
against the current war in the Middle East.
And
there's more DUB in WEAPONS OF MASS DUB
VERSION that WMD's in Iraq, that's a fact.

FUNKY
KINGSTON
DUBROOM PODCAST REVIEW |
| WWW,
March 2008 - Reggae can absorb the vibe
of any style or era and this Podcast
captures the early 1970's when Funk was hot.
Reggae got Soul, Reggae got Dance, Reggae
got Funk as well!
No less
than 22 tracks await us in another thematic
Podcast by DJ Chill Will of the Dubsessions
Podcast series. Altogether, his series are a
valuable source of vibes and everything DUB,
sometimes more outside the realms of Reggae
than the average Reggae Fan would prefer.
