INTERVIEW WITH THE PROPHET
GAD |
Jamaican
Radio Station "Ire FM" has
interviewed the Prophet Gad. The Dubroom's
webmaster was blessed to transcribe the
interview, which has been authorized by
Gadman himself for publication on RAS
ADAM WEBSITE (one of
the best portals for Rastafari knowledge on
the Internet) and the Dubroom.
This interview contains some very
interesting information. Gadman explains his
views on Rastafari and the Bible, and deals
with the prejudices which surround the 12
Tribes as well as the movement of Rastafari
as a whole.
Now that the interview has been spread
across the globe, even quoted in books, it
has become an essential piece of information
for everyone interested in Rastafari.
The Dubroom carries the interview in word
and sound. You can read or download an mp3
for free.

HAILE
SELASSIE SOUND ARCHIVE |
|
FILE 1: "UNTIL THE
PHILOSOPHY..." |
This
is the speech that Haile Selassie spoke
before the General Assembly of the United
Nations, and that served as inspiration for
Bob Marley to write his famous song
"War". The speech comes from the
UN archives and has been recorded on tape
from a radio show in 1984 (!) with noise
removed as much as possible. It is public
domain. The translator is on the left
channel, and His Majesty on the right.

FILE 2: "FOLLOW JESUS
CHRIST...." |
An
interview that the British Broadcasting
Company has transmitted in the year 1986 for
"The Lutheran Hour" with Dr.
Oswald Hoffman. This is a Christmas Special,
in which the Negus is interviewed about his
Christian faith and gives very encouraging
words to all Christians world wide and of
every time.
This interview comes in three parts.

FILE 3: "I HAVE MET
CERTAIN RASTAFARIANS...." |
These
mp3's contain the very first interview, that
His Majesty has ever held with any Radio
Station, this is a radio program from 1967.
The name of the show is "Project 67:
The Conquering Lion of Judah - A Profile
Study Of His Imperial Majesty". It's
not in a very good sound quality, but it is
very good for your education: It starts of
with a narrative on Ethiopian's History. The
program shows the Negus as statesman with
love for development and democracy, and it
contains Selassie's statement concerning the
believe in HIM as the returned Yesus
Kristos. This statement is seperatly
available for download under
"excerpt".
