ASANTE
AMEN - PRAISES
DUBROOM
MP3 REVIEW |
WWW,
September 2014 - Riding an up-tempo One Drop
rhythm, Asante Amen tells us where he gets
his energy, talents and skills come from. In
the same time, he gives praises to the Most
High Jah in such a way that you just got to
start praising the Most High yourself.
Another
contemporary Roots Reggae track that will
drive away the bad vibrations, that will
uplift those that listen to it. Another
crucial free and legal download, for you to
get and be blessed. From the heart, fe sure.

JUNIOR
KELLY - RECEIVE
DUBROOM
MP3 REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2014 - Contemporary Jamaican Reggae,
with Junior Kelly riding the smooth riddim
alongside backing vocals and a well worked
out arrangement is something we can only
thankfully... receive. As far as we could
tell, the track was released on 7"
vinyl in Jamaica and is now also
available for free download at Junior
Kelly's Reverb Nation page.
Junior
Kelly shows just how versatile he is. A
heavyweight Roots Rasta track or a more
smooth one like this: he is perfectly able
to voice the riddim and share a good
vibration while doing so. Download
"Receive" and while you're at his
page at Reverb Nation, consider buying a
track or two more.

MESSIAN
DREAD - DuB WEH SENSELESS KILLAHS FT RAS
KHALEEL
DUBROOM
MP3 REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2014 - "Dub Weh Senseless
Killahs" is taken from Messian Dread's
"Reel
to Real Dubwise" EP, and is a
heavyweight steppers recorded
in Ariwa studio's and subsequently
turned into a really intense and vibe-full
Dub track in the Dubroom. Ras Khaleel is
prominently featured in the production and
not without reason: listen to his voice
delivering a message of consciousness and
hope.
With
backing vocals by Dubstep singer Aiva and a
heavy steppers drums accompanied by a deep,
deep sub bass, Dub Weh Senseless Killahs is
one of the heaviest riddims released from
the Dubroom studio in more recent
times.

HORSEMAN
- MUSICAL 45 2 KEEP U ALIVE EP
DUBROOM
MP3 REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2014 - Two full-length Discomixes
and three Dubs: yes, with almost 30 minutes
of music this is the first EP from the
Dubroom Studio in the new 2014 sound.
Featuring Horseman and Dillinger as well as
a number of singers delivering a conscious
message, this release brings you both a
Steppers Roots and a Rub a Dub vibe. Here is
a Musical 45 to keep you alive!
The concept
of a DJ chanting over a riddim and singers
jumping in and out is not new, not original,
not uncommon. Where many styles and genres
have incorporated the concept, no one can
take away the fact that this all started in
Jamaica during the 1970's and even before
that. No one can deny that Roots Reggae
music, mixed in Dub style, is a perfect
foundation for a DJ to chant over and
exactly that is what you can find in the two
Discomixes. The first one (Love Not War) is
a pumping Rub a Dub style, the second a
joyous yet serious Steppers Roots.

NISHKA
WITH HORSEMAN AND DENNIS ALCAPONE - DUB
HURTS/HURTS DUB
DUBROOM
MP3 REVIEW |
WWW,
June 2014 - Straight from the Dubroom
Studio: two heavyweight Roots Reggae Dubwise
tracks featuring Nishka, Horseman and Dennis
Alcapone on an original Dubroom riddim with
real horns and real Dub mixing by Messian
Dread. Dis ya tune come fe nice up the
nation!
Years ago,
Messian Dread and the well-known UK DUB act
Alpha and Omega did an a-capella exchange
resulting in an
excellent tune by the UK Dub Twins and a
-now very much dated- track
by Messian Dread. To celebrate the current
sonical developments in the Dubroom Studio
(yes, a new sound), a complete new track was
build on this a-capella from the classic
"Show Me A Purpose",
(non-exclusive but licensed) vocals by two
mighty MC's strategically added and
subsequently made into the Dubs you can
download for free in both CD Quality Wave
Audio or High Quality MP3 files before
listening.
