| Studio
One (not to be mistaken with Channel
One) has a very fitting name. The Studio is
used as a starting point in their carreers
by almost every Jamaican Reggae artist,
especially the singers.
Coxsone Dodd's Studio One was actually
the first Jamaican recording studio to
livicate themselves stricktly to Jamaican
Music. Allready then was Studio One a legend
in Jamaica, a leading Studio with their own
Sound System. Reggae was being developed
within the walls of Studio One for a
significant portion!
It was at Studio One, that the authentic
playing of the Reggae Guitar originated.
Centered around the bassline, Studio One was
the first to introduce riddims and my of
these classic Studio One riddims are used
until this very day.
Nuff reasons to make a documentary. Nuff
reasons to be wanting to see the video! In
several episodes (originally called
"moments") we are being educated by
some of Reggae's biggest names about the
Studio where so many of them started of
their works.
Every episode comes with it's own mini
review as well. Have a nice time while you
educate yourself on the story of Reggae
Music!
