DUB engineer the Scientist, like his ticker
King Tubby, was well versed in the
complicated world of electronic. Building
his own equipment, therefore, is a part of
his skills.
Of course the situation is now way
better, technically, than back in the
1970's. But that only enlarges the final
result, as we can see.
In this video, he teams up with producer
Dave Dizzle in order to build a box for a
studio that will carry 2000 watts worth of
speakers. The room is actually kind of
small, so that's actually quite a lot of
watts.
They even talk about building several,
much to the shock of the technician who
can't believe they're actually into
producing so much sound in the studio.
