| When
Kiddus I made his appearance in the
legendary movie Rockers to perform his track
"Graduation of Zion", he made an
appearance that left a big impression on
just about everyone who saw it.
And
it is such a shame, that Kiddus I remained
fairly unknown. Many people consider
"Graduation In Zion" to be one of
their favorite all-time Reggae tunes, and
rightly so.
In 2004, Kiddus I performed again for a
video recording. And again, he has something
to say, something to listen to. The track is
called "No Salvation Until...",
and you can fill in the blanks yourself.
The session, or should we say groundation,
takes place in a semi-acoustic setting. you
could say: Rastafarian Nyabinghy drumming
meets Reggae Music. And all of this takes
place in the yard of the well-known Reggae
musician Earl "Chinna" Smith, in
Jamaica.
Foundational lyrics, foundational music.
If you ever wondered, how "true
authentic Reggae" sounds, take a listen
while you look.
