RADIO DUBROOM |

In December 2000 the Dubroom
started to broadcast Radio Shows. From the
very start of the webcast, stricktly
non-stop mixes have been transmitted over
the world wide web. Over the years the Radio
Dubroom has evolved and developed itself to
one of the most listened to Reggae shows on
the gigantic LIVE365 Radio Network.
In early 2005, the broadcast
had to stop because of technical reasons, of
which finances was a part.

The 21th Century started
with the Dubroom Artists being part of the
top in the online Dub Artist community.
On MP3.com they simply ruled the download
charts in Dub and Reggae for years. The
Dubroom was paying it's own costs as well as
the costs for it's artists.
And then the big crisis
came. September 11, the collapse of MP3.com,
these things had a lot in common.
Globalization, imperialism. Multinationals
taking over independant businesses when they
become to threatening for the ruling power
elite.
MP3.com was simply looted by
the Music Industry and the online community
had no place to go. The Dubroom couldn't
bypass this crisis either and so it became a
little bit quieter.
