CHRISTAFARI QUOTES
|
|
On this page you
can find a collection of quotes from the
Christafarian, Mark Mohr aka "TanSoBack" aka
"Christafari". The quotes reveal not only
how Mark Mohr is being "all things to all
men" as he describes his self-proclaimed
"biblical" lifestyle in which he acts like a
chameleon to get acceptance from people, but doesn't
care about accuracy in his statements while doing so.

CHRISTAFARI's
FRUITS |
| When
critisized, Mark Christafari Mohr points out to
what he calls "the fruits of my
efforts". These "fruits" turn out
to be either dead or jailed Jamaicans. |

past years I have gone into the Gully and led rude
boys to Christ. Upon arriving in the upper part I
was disappointed to learn that all but one
of the guys that I had brought to Christ on my
past trips were either dead or in prison." |

CHRISTAFARIANS:
FANS AND/OR FOLLOWERS |
| There's
a lot of babylon (con-fusion) about the meaning of
the term or word Christafarian(s). See the
different definitions, all given by the
Christafarian himself. |

DISCREDITING
HAILE SELASSIE |
| The
Emperor of Ethiopiah is a repeated subject of
scorn with the Christafarian. Mark Mohr calls the
Emperor an "Elect of Himself" and goes
further by calling The Ethiopian Emperor a
"trickster" and "murderer",
all the while denying in public that he is
discrediting the Emperor. Still, in private, he
admits that he does. |

"After
Ras Tafari had became Governor he wanted to become
king so he took an
army of 16,000 men and deployed them against the
existing Empress. (...) Shortly, after Ras
Tafari's army killed her husband, his army, and
two days later she was mysteriously murdered.
(..)
In Selassie's title the words "Elect of
God" keep ringing in my head, for a
king is supposed to be chosen by God and given
authority to rule. Selassie was
elect of himself. It is Royal tradition to be
chosen or appointed as king and be
crowned by someone of authority (other than
oneself). Haile Selassie arbitrarily
took the throne by force, through trickery and
even murder (White 36). He chose
himself and crowned himself despite public
opinion. Even if he was Elect by God,
according to the New Testament, Almighty God would
not have chosen for things to
have happened in this manner." |

Nelson wrote:
"For a long time on this group, the word
was that Christafari was passing out
anti-Selassie/anti-Rasta literature at the
Sunpslash shows."
Christafari Responds:
This is fiction. No Christafari member has ever
handed out anti-Selassie/anti-Rasta literature at
any Sunpslash show." |

| PROMOTING
THE RASTA VS. CHRISTIAN PARADIGM |
| Even
though the Christafarian is forced to acknowledge
that Rastafari is not the anti-christ religion he
claims it to be, he continues by perpetuating the
self-created gap between him and Rastafarians by
calling Rasta's either Idol Worshippers (Selassie
or the Trinity is an idol according to the
Christafarian) or deceivers.
By his self-acknowledgement of Rastafarians as
Christians, he is contradicting his own constant
statements concerning unity. For he calls people
who he acknowledges as "Christian"
"deceivers" without any reason. |

all rastas saying that we are right and they
are wrong." |

| (ASSOCIATED

differentiate his band from the many others
that play reggae music. "I read The

I still do not agree with a Christian calling
himself a "Rastafarian." I personally
view this as misleading and a compromise of
verses such as Psalm 16:4. Though I love these
brothers, I am in sharp disagreement with such an
approach." |

BUJU
BANTON INCIDENT |
| When
Mark Mohr joined the New World Order University
called BIOLA, a university that brags to be "BushCountry",
he took a course in "cults". During this
course, he wrote a booklet on the movement of
Rastafari as well as the Ethiopian Emperor. In
this book, he scorned at everything he didn't
overstand, and discredited everything in Rastafari
which opposes the anti-christ religion that is
preached at Universities like BIOLA. But in public
he denies this all. |

the completion of my first booklet titled
Rastafari and the Bible (An Eschatological Study

making my writings available at our shows in
booklet form. It was after we joined the 46
city Reggae Sunsplash Tour that I faced an
overwhelming amount of persecution for my beliefs
and writings. After all of the other artists on
the tour read my booklet the verbal abuse and
spiritual attacks began." |
