Day
12 Report
|
In the 12th Chapter, we will be introduced to an aspect
of Christafarianism that should raise the eyebrowses of
all those that take the Lord's Prayer seriously, as we
pray: "Our Father Who Areth In Heaven, Hallowed Be
THY NAME".
Every sunday again, we can hear how the Church Choirs
sing: HalleluJAH. But this holy Name is definitely not
hallowed in the Christian Industry. Where the Most High
makes us sing: "He Leadeth Us For HIS NAME's
Sake", it turns out that for Christafarianism, this
Holy Name turns out to be nothing but a marketing tool:
"They would boycott us if we refused to use the
name "Jesus," or were embarrassed to use the
name "Christ" in our songs, but not Jah."
His Holy Name, even preaching the coming judgement on
Babylon System, this all turn out to be
"boring" to the Christafarian:
"roots reggae that is even less original with
the typical "Jah," Babylon, repatriation,
Zion, Conquering Lion, Ethiopia, Rastafari, Marcus
Garvey Jargon. There are only so many times that I can
hear the same things over and over again. I am
exhausted. "
And so, the Christafarian claims that these doctrines
are boring and he needs to be original. After
all, a Christian Industrial Church needs an update every
now and then...
"I see the Christian church becoming more
rasta rather than the rasta church becoming more
Christian. Since this concerns me, given my position
in the industry I decided to do something
about it"
Truly, Christafari doesn't pray the Lord's Prayer:
"Our Father, Who Areth In Heaven, Hallowed Be
Thy Name". Truly, the christafarian doesn't
sing the Psalm: "He Leadeth Me For His Name's
Sake.
But he wasn't allways like that. As we will see in this
chapter, the Christafarian truly walked away from
worshipping the Holy one by His Name JAH, by using an
argument of which he himself turns out to have given the
counter argument at an earlier stage:
"In addition to the name Jah being used by
Rastas, it is also a common appellation used within
Jamaican culture. Due toits regular use in their dialect
of Patois, this name is by no means limited to the
Rastafarian culture, but rather it encompasses the
majority of Jamaican culture, and other areas of the
Caribbean also"
HOWEVER, that turns out to become:
"I have not used this name in my recent
recordings as an attempt to set a positive example for
the plethora of young aspiring artists that I teach at
music seminars in places like Trinidad and Tobago or
Barbados, who think the best way to start off every song
is by singing Jah, Jah, Jah, Jah... Now keep in mind,
these guys are not dreads, nor do they know the rasta
culture intimately. They are not using this term to
reach the rastas, but to stroke the sheep. If they ever
do talk about Selassie or rastas, it is in a
disrespectful manner that may make Christians laugh, but
is at the expense of the ones that I am trying to save.
Seen?"
Seen allright...
