Greetings on this seventh day of our two weeks long
investigation into the Mystery of Christafarianism.
Yesterday we've taken a look at the "elect of god and his
kingdom", and today we will take a closer look at some of
the roots of Christafarianism. The chapter starts with a quote
of Mark Mohr, giving the example of a band called
"Vengeance Rising" in order to substantiate his
claim that you should only get band members in a
"church". This "church", turns out to be
the "Sanctuary Church" of Mark Mohr's pastor
"Bob Beeman", who "ordained" the
Christafarian into his pastorship.
Vengeance Rising is a well known band in the Christian Heavy
Metal scene. the singer has turned satanist, bitter and
frustrated about some really bad deals thet the band Vengeance
Rising was into.
We will also take a look into another root of
Christafarianism: the George Bush connection so to speak. It
turns out, that Christafarianism is well connected with the
Bush supporting so-called conservative Christian Right. A
website bushcountry.org turns out to publish an interview with
Mark Mohr where yet even more revelations come to the surface.
Yet another root is the BIOLA Universit, where the book
"Christ and Tafari" was written. The same book that
caused the "Buju Incident". We will also take a look
in that university.
Alltogether, we will see some roots that have pretty bad
fruits. And Christafarianism is another fruit from that same
root. Christafarianism can therefore hardly be any different
in itself. As we (shall) see.
