A final rebuke to Messian Dread
|
A final rebuke to Messian Dread:
This letter is for the individual that calls himself
"Messian Dread" and all of those that have
read his bitter posts and writings . We at
LionofZion.com apologize to all of those that have been
hurt, offended or belittled by his irrational and often
vicious posts throughout the years. We are sorry that
you have been wounded by this individual's sharp words.
We have attempted to fix this problem many times. In
this forum, we have always tried to foster a friendly
environment where individuals can discuss without being
disrespected or belittled. As the administrator of this
board (a responsibility that I do not take lightly), I
am again being bombarded with a host of phone and e-mail
complaints about this person. Given this, we are forced
to take action once again. Before we made any decisions
we first wanted to do some research. After studying
various posts and all of our computer files full of
arguments and complaints over this individual, we have
come to the following conclusion: over the last 6 years,
this person has been a divider and not a uniter. My
records shows that he has been rebuked both publicly and
privately for his marijuana use, his compromising blend
of Rastafarianism and Christianity (though up until
recently he refused to call himself a Christian).
His divisiveness has gotten him banned from this forum
before. But in an attempt to give him grace, Mark Mohr
encouraged the then webmaster to reinstate him. This was
a big mistake.
A leopard cannot change its spots nor can a scorpion
withhold its sting--and you my friend have stung far too
many people for us to idly stand by. This is not your
final warning, you received that many years ago. You
have been e-mailed, called, posted, edited and banned
and yet you still continue to start your fires in our
backyard. This will stop today. We have always
encouraged freedom of speech in these forums and wanted
to create a safe environment where people can reason in
peace. Yet there has been little peace in your
unreasonable posts. We refuse to throw our pearls before
you any longer.
This is not a conspiracy, you have made far too many
enemies with your slanderous words and illegal misuse of
individual's posts and copyrighted material. We know
that you have serious contentions with the faith of
Evangelical Christians, as we do yours. But we do not go
on your website's forum condemning your marijuana
smoking or your Rastafarian claims, nor do we wish for
you to post on LionofZion.com your propaganda that
contradicts the very foundations of our Judeo Christian
belief system. All of the moderators and I refuse to
listen to the wayward bantering of a self proclaimed
Rastafarian Christian (a curious phrase say the least).
We do acknowledge that there are certain self proclaimed
Rastas that deny the divinity of Rastafari and believe
that Jesus is Lord. We praise God for these brothers and
sisters in the Lord that have seen the truth. So yes,
some rastas may be Christians and some Christians do
consider themselves rastas. On this point we can agree
and we apologize for lumping all Rastafarians into the
category of "Selassie Worshipers". Yet this
concession comes no where close to justifying Messian
Dreads approach.
If this was simply one conflict we would forgive you,
but again, this is a pattern that must be broken. This
should not be a problem because you recently e-mailed me
stating that you will "no longer post on this
forum," further threatening to post your endless
monologue on your website's forum. This is great! I am
so glad that you have your own forum to post in so that
you won't go through withdrawals and try to come back
here under another name. But you wouldn't do that, after
all, as a believer in Kristos (as you call Him), you
must be a man of your word. So let's work this out like
reasonable adults; I (The administrator) won't go to
your forum and you will no longer come to ours.
This should be an easy out for you--you can't seem to
agree with what we stand for as reggae loving
Christians, so simply LEAVE and please don't come back
unless you are truly willing to repent of the things
that you have been rebuked of over the years. I am sorry
to make this rebuke public, but that is what we are
called to do according to Matthew 18 and 1st Corinthian
5.
As I have digested this matter for some time, I am
reminded of Jude 1:18-19 that says;
"In the last times there will be scoffers who will
follow their own ungodly desires. These are the men who
divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not
have the Spirit."
This is not to say that you do not have the Spirit, only
God knows that. But if you do, reveal this by love,
grace and a respect for our wishes as brothers and
sisters in Christ--leave this forum. You have your own
forum, feel free to malign our names and Evangelical
doctrines in it all that you want. You have your own
platform--use it. We expect nothing less. Lastly, we
thank you for the controversy that you have given to our
ministry as it has only been used by God to spread His
truth even further. Even your misused out-of-context
quotes contain profound truths about the kingdom of God
that cannot be ignored by rational readers.
Christafarians (if there is such a thing) know the truth
when they hear it and can smell a skunk in the room no
matter how much it hides.
